Wayward Chapel is the eleventh solo exhibition and the first international exhibition by Melbourne artist Frances Cannon.
Wayward Chapel presents a series of colorful and playful oil paintings and sculptural works that explore the sanctity of nonconforming bodies. Frances inserts soft queer bodies into classic religious iconography to symbolize the beauty, power and sanctity of the LGBTQIA+ community. This series is a reminder that the queer community is valuable and deserves to be protected and celebrated.
